The past two years on my blog I have posted whatever the heck I want, albeit very infrequently. Recently I have been reading a few of my old blog posts, and I am amazed at how my mindset has changed (plus my writing style, but let's not worry about that). I had so much more … Continue reading Why I Stopped Blogging About Books

Eight movies that should be books
Do you ever watch a movie that you loved and wish that there was a book version of it?
There are so many movies that were firstly books, but there are also a lot of movies that were simply turned into movie because of an original screenplay. I've thought of eight movies I really enjoyed and after watching them wished that there was a book based on the story.
Books I Wanted to Read but Didn’t Because of Negative Reviews
Sometimes I really love the premise of a book and look forward to reading it, but sometimes the reviews start coming in and I feel discouraged about picking it up. This is what happened to most of the books on this list and it is unlikely that I will ever read them.

10 Young Adult Books on my TBR
Young Adult is one of my favourite genres and there are so many books that sound fantastic that I haven't had a chance to read yet. I have put together a list of 10 books that are the highest on my Young Adult TBR. I did the same recently with mystery/thriller and it was such a great way of organising my TBR. 10 Thriller/Mystery Books on My TBR
One of my favourite genres is thriller/mystery, but I don't read it often because it takes a lot out of me! Sometimes they make me stay up at night, or make me wonder continuously what the outcome will be so that I just must finish the book. Therefore, I often take breaks from this genre. In fact, I haven't read one for at least three months, and I have a lot on my TBR. I decided to make a list of my top 10, and I am hoping to read them in the order that they are placed in this list. As I have chosen so many books I will just include a two-sentence synopsis of the book, and my brief thoughts about it.
Books I did Not Finish But Should Have
I have finished most of the books that I have started, but there are a select few that I never bothered to pick up again. Among the ones that I never want to see again, there are some books that I think deserve to be finished. Here is a list of six books that I did not finish reading, but should have.
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
The Sky is Everywhere follows Lennie Walker, a seventeen-year-old girl who has recently lost her older sister Bailey. She struggles with the grief that comes with the death of a sibling. A clarinet player for school, a silent poet and lasagne maker for her local deli, Lennie fights off those around her to cope with her loss.
10 Series That I Couldn’t Finish
I am not an avid reader of books that are in a series, as most of the time I do not like the first book and cannot bring myself to read the next. Here is a list that I compiled of 10 series that I just couldn't force myself to continue reading.
