In November of 2017, I wrote a post that listed five books I thought would end up being five-star reads. The books I chose were Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, Renegades by Marissa Meyer, Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson, The Comfort Zone by Sally Thorne and Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. It took me a while - because I forgot about the books I chose - but I have finally read the books (except for one, which isn't my fault!).
Several other blogs have taken part in this post idea, and after Rachel inspired me, I decided to write one too. I do not rate books 5 stars very often, but there are plenty of books out there that have been rated highly and it makes me think that I'll do the same. All of these books have been on my TBR for ages and I have most likely not read them because I've been unable to get a copy. When I go into reading a book, I usually want it to be a 5-star read, though I know it is unlikely to happen. So here are five books that I really hope will be my newest 5-star reads!
I'll Give You the Sun follows Noah and Jude. They are twins who have been very close to each other growing up, but when several life-changing events occur, they are driven apart and no longer as tight as they once were.
Lily tells her story of numerous things that occur to her throughout several years of her life. The reader feels love when she does, and feels sad when she does. The main characters include Ryle, the handsome neurosurgeon; Alyssa, the friendly girl that Lily works with; and Atlas, the old love of Lily's that holds a strong place in her heart.
The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout consists of five books about a romance between Katy, a human, and Daemon, an alien.
The narrative follows five-year-old Jack, who shares his day-to-day activities with his "Ma" living in a place called "Room", which is exactly that - a single room.
The novel focuses on the married couple of Grace and Jack. It is told in the perspective of Grace, who is a thirty-something-year-old woman living in England.
