I enjoy reading memoirs, but only usually do it when I really admire the person. Reading a memoir is great if I want to feel closer to someone by reading more about their life that I wouldn't otherwise have any way of knowing. So far I've only read eleven memoirs. There are so many more I want to read, so have put together three memoirs I recommend and three that I want to read.
Today I thought I'd do a post about my favourite LGBTQ+ books! I would say I've read between 20-30 in my life, but I've forgotten most of them because I never put them into my read list on Goodreads.
Hey everyone! Today I thought I would switch over to Top Ten Tuesday because the Top 5 Wednesday topics are a bit of a challenge for me this month. This week's prompt is anything "school-related", so I chose "Favourite Books I Read in School". When I was in High School there were about 2-5 books/plays … Continue reading Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite Books I Read in School
I thought today I would tell you all about my favourite BookTubers. These are the ones that I look forward to seeing new videos from. I am only subscribed to six, so when it comes to YouTube I am really picky about my subscriptions. But I am thinking about making a separate account for BookTubers, so let me know your favourite BookTuber and I can check them out!
I saw on Twitter about a week ago that Zoe Herdt (readbyzoe) was hosting a 24 hour readathon and thought I should participate. I have never done a readathon before and was pretty excited to see one happening so soon. I finished the readathon yesterday, so read on to find how it went!
There is 24 readathon tomorrow (Saturday 15 July) and I'm going to be participating! It is hosted by Zoe Herdt @readbyzoe. It is going to be from midnight to midnight in your timezone.
Colleen Hoover is a new adult author who has written 13 books. She usually releases at least one book per year, so expect some more from her soon! I have read six of her books and really enjoy the way she is able to keep me invested in the plot. While romance is a big … Continue reading Author Profile: Colleen Hoover
Young Adult is one of my favourite genres and there are so many books that sound fantastic that I haven't had a chance to read yet. I have put together a list of 10 books that are the highest on my Young Adult TBR. I did the same recently with mystery/thriller and it was such a great way of organising my TBR. I would classify all of these books as either contemporary or romance. Young Adult comes in so many genres so this list of books are relatively similar!
One of my favourite genres is thriller/mystery, but I don't read it often because it takes a lot out of me! Sometimes they make me stay up at night, or make me wonder continuously what the outcome will be so that I just must finish the book. Therefore, I often take breaks from this genre. In fact, I haven't read one for at least three months, and I have a lot on my TBR. I decided to make a list of my top 10, and I am hoping to read them in the order that they are placed in this list. As I have chosen so many books I will just include a two-sentence synopsis of the book, and my brief thoughts about it.
I have finished most of the books that I have started, but there are a select few that I never bothered to pick up again. Among the ones that I never want to see again, there are some books that I think deserve to be finished. Here is a list of six books that I did not finish reading, but should have.
