Briefly explain your blogging style (where your favourite blogging spot/tools – as in, on the couch using your smartphone).

I blog on my laptop, which is a MacBook Air. I usually write my blog posts at my desk, or sometimes in bed when I’m lazy. I do use my phone for checking notifications, which I will literally do everywhere. I don’t have notifications turned on because the dinging was starting to annoy me. Actually, every time my phone dings I get annoyed, so I hardly have any notifications turned on.

How do you manage your blogging time, including blog reading time?

At the moment, I am on holidays from university and have a lot of free time. Besides a part-time job that I have, I can easily just make time for blogging. When I was studying, it was a lot harder because I felt guilty for blogging instead of doing school work. Reading other blogs comes in waves. One day I may feel like doing it, whereas another day I may not feel like it. Unfortunately, lately I have not felt like doing it. But usually there is one point in the day where I think about reading other blog posts.

Who is your most read author?

I’m not entirely sure about this, but I think it is Nicholas Sparks. I can’t believe I haven’t even read a book from him in about seven years! I used to love his books, and I really need to read another one. I’ve read The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Dear John, Safe Haven, and The Last Song. That is only five of his books and he has written seventeen novels, so I need to catch up.

How did you come up with your blog name?

Ask my mother!

Well, Charlotte because she liked it and Annelise because she wanted to use Elise, but my cousin used it for her middle name, so my mum joined Elise with her middle name, Anne. My dad wanted me to be called Madeline Charlotte G(last name) for the football stadium in Melbourne called the MCG. My mum was not a fan of that idea.

I chose to use my first and middle name for my blog because I initially just wanted it for myself to put my stories, reviews and vegan-related stuff. That changed really quickly when I realised there was a book-blogging community! I wish I chose a book-themed name instead, as people probably don’t realise I’m a book-blogger.

What keeps you blogging?

What keeps me blogging is interacting with other bloggers! It is a really great incentive to keep writing posts.

  1. I totally agree that interacting with other bloggers is so much fun; it helps to remind me not to worry about stats and all of that. And you have such a lovely name! Happy reading 🙂
