How I Did in the 2017 PopSugar Reading Challenge

At the beginning of the year, I saw that PopSugar were hosting a reading challenge over 2017 and thought it would be a great challenge to keep in mind throughout the year. To be honest, I only looked at it once, but have read over 50 books this year and many of them related to one of the prompts. I didn’t do all of them, but I did manage to do most!

  1. Wow, you did so well, Charlotte! You go girl 😀
I never take part in challenges because a) I’m a mood reader and b) I never know when I’ll have the time. So if I ever decide to do one, I’ll have to commit 100% (or I’ll just end up frustrated hahaha)
Best of luck with next year’s challenge!!

    1. Haha thanks! ☺️
I’m totally a mood reader too. I only did this challenge because I knew I probably wouldn’t have to think about it much 😂 Totally, ending up frustrated would be awful! Thank you 😀

  2. You did good!

The only prompt I have yet to tick off is “A book that takes place over a character’s life span”.
I was reading a book for that but DNF’d it because it just didn’t grab me in any way and.. Ugh. I was battling every word, sentence and page after a while.
I’m not going to do the 2018 one, though. There are some prompts on there that I just not like, haha. So I made my own giant bingo-sheet. 😀

    1. Thank you! 🙂
That’s great you only have one more to tick off! Ugh I hate it when that happens though, hopefully you’ll find another one to fit the prompt! If not, you still did so well! I’m not sure if I’ll do the 2018 one yet. That’s cool you made a bingo sheet, now you can think of prompts you would actually do 😀

      1. I already have one in mind and ordered it, haha. I just hope it arrives soon so I can dig in and finish it in time.
Indeed! I think I’m going to throw it online next week or something; you’re free to join in if the prompts look interesting enough to you! 🙂

  3. you did so good! wow! it’s so cool when you can cross off a list at the end of the year. that reminds me i need to look at my ongoing challenges haha 😀
i won’t do any challenges next year, because i am such a mood reader and all that challenges took the fun away and made me stress out. i don’t want that to happen next year!

    1. Thanks! It is really satisfying to tick everything off! Haha have fun 😀
I know how you feel! I’m a mood reader too and will just read whatever and hope for the best when it comes to looking at the challenge again 😂

  4. I never knew such a challenge existed. Damn I feel so bad right now! Thank you so much for this! I would’ve stayed oblivious if it weren’t for you.

And you did soooo good! You write AND read so much. How do you find the time?!

(Btw a small correction- it’s ‘Maybe Someday’. Just trying to help!)

  5. Wow you did really well! Congrats on that! 😀
I’m not really one for yearly challenges, I just don’t like the pressure of them. And it’s more the pressure I put on myself rather than the one from the challenge. They just never seem to work out for me. So I don’t do them, aside from the Goodreads reading challenge that is! 😀

  6. Congrat! I have always wanted to do the popsugar reading challenges but for some reason forget about. I wantto do it for 2018. This time I will have to print it out and put in my agenda. 😝

  7. Oh wow, this challenge seems like so much fun! I’m more of a mood reader and even if I do decide to participate in a reading challenge/readathon, I end up quitting about halfway through because I’m in the mood to read something else entirely! I really like the prompts for this one though, especially the ones for 2018! I’m not sure if I’ll participate in this challenge in 2018 but I wish you the best of luck! ❤

    1. It is a lot of fun, especially when you get to tick everything off! Oh I totally understand, I think this is the first challenge I’ve done and I didn’t even get all the prompts completed! The 2018 challenge does sound fun, thanks so much! ❤️

  8. I was happy with my Popsugar challenge. I only had 4 blanks, but I won’t be doing it next year. I scanned the list, and it is a little too challenging. You did awesome this year!
