Another month has passed, which means it is time for my October wrap-up and November TBR!
October Wrap-Up
I read six books in October! They were:
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
This book is very fun to read for some light entertainment. My review.
Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
I loved the depiction of mental health in John Green’s very exciting new release.
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
This book was incredibly cheesy and cliched and I couldn’t take the characters seriously at all.
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
I really liked how this book felt very real and intense.
Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden
This in an interesting read and has many sweet moments. My review.
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
At the beginning I was really enjoying this book and overall the premise was so thrilling.
November TBR
In November I’m going to be doing NaNoWriMo and probably won’t feel like reading much. I have one ARC to read and also one classic (thanks for the rec, Rain).
This is what I plan on reading:
The Confession by Jo Spain
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (when I read this, I’m going to have that song by Kate Bush on a loop in my head.)
TV and Film
I also like adding TV and film to the list! Here are the highlights of the TV and film that I watched:
The Last Man on Earth Season 4
The Last Man on Earth is my favourite show! It’s so funny and I love it. Season 5 has the gang on a boat, a crazy Kristen Wiig, and a still-pregnant Carol.
Stranger Things Season 2
I didn’t really like the first season but someone made me watch the first episode with them and I got hooked back into the story. I like this season much more because it’s way creepier and easier to understand. I still have four episodes to watch.
Battle of the Sexes (2017)
This film was amazing! It’s about the tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs that was “the battle of the sexes”. It focused mostly on feminism and I think it worked really well. Even though I knew who won because it actually happened and I researched it beforehand, I was still on the edge of my seat in anticipation.
It’s official then? Wuthering Heights on your November TBR??!?! YAYYY!!!! :-*
And heyy!!! You are participating In NaNo as well?? I AM TOOO!!! In fact, I JUST posted the prologue for my WIP? A penny for your thoughts? 😉 BUT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SOOOO MUCH FUN. 😉 What are you planning on writing? What genre, I mean?

Totally!! I’ve started reading it too, I’m a chapter in 😉😉
YES IM DOING NANO!!! Of course I’ll check it out! 😀 That’s awesome you’re doing it too!! The genre I’m writing in is new adult contemporary. I love writing it that genre 😜 What about you??

OoOOoOooOoO….Just a few more chapters and you’ll know what I have been talking about all along…😁
Oh WOWWW!! I LOVE READING New Adult. ❤ But I am writing a Fantasy. Hopefully it’ll turn out the way I have imagined it? And…..uhhh….if it doesn’t, well, then THAT’S WHAT SHREDDERS ARE FOR!!! 😂😂😂

Hahaha 😂 Exactly, that’s what shredders are for!! I always feel like that after I’ve written something 😂😂

Well, it looks like you’ve had a great month of reading! I’m very excited to read the new John Green book because I’ve only heard amazing things about the rep ❤ and I'm sorry you didn't like When Dimple Met Rishi that much—it was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and while I haven't gotten around to it yet, I've seen a lot of mixed reviews which sucks! I am also participating in NaNo this year and I hope I'll be able to focus more on writing and less on reading and blogging! Good luck to you 💖

Thanks Jackie! ❤️
Ooh the John Green book is very good, I really liked Aza’s character! Ah it’s okay, Dimple was very anticipated and maybe that’s why I was a bit let down by it? But don’t let me discourage you from reading it, it’s still quite a cute read ☺️
Good luck with your writing! Haha I think I’ll have trouble focusing on writing more than reading and blogging too! It’s hard to get out of the habit 😆

6 books in a month?! Speed reader. Teach me your ways! Love your honest reviews. “Increidbly cheesy and cliched”. Happy keyboard bashing for NaNo!

Haha I’m happy to hear you think I’m a speed reader! I see so many people with like 20 books in their wrap-up posts and think otherwise. But actually no six books is good, I was reading a few books at the one time this month so maybe that’s why.
Thanks Richie! You too 🙂

20 in a month? Insane in the membrane. I’m not that slow a reader but somedays it’s just finding the time. I do enjoy reading a few books at once. It’s like watching different types of TV show. One day you’re in the mood for a bit of fantasy, the next a thriller.

6 books! Same as me 😊 no 5 stars huh? I recognize you read some popular titles there. I’m glad to know about When Dimple Met Rishi. I can delay reading it then 😊 I need to get my Netflix back on. I guess I’m missing out on good TV shows 😊

Awesome! No that sucks there was no 5 stars for me, hope your month was better! Netflix does have some great shows 😊

Now I have that song stuck in my head! 😅😅 what made you want to read Wuthering Heights? And how did you make that nice link to your reviews? Pretty nifty 😛

Haha oops! 😜 Another blog made me want to read it, and I already owned so I thought it was about time that I read it 🙂 To make the link you just go to the edit section of your post, highlight the text you want linked and click “insert/edit link” at the top. Then copy and paste the link you want in the URL section. Hope that helps!

Yaaasss to Battle of the Sexes!! I wrote about it on the TV/Movie blog I contribute to and I really can’t wait to watch it. Even though I do know a pretty decent amount about it and Billie Jean King, I’m excited to see a more in-depth look. 🙂

From the sound of it I’m sure you’ll love Battle of the Sexes just like I did! I knew basically nothing about Billie Jean King and it was great to learn about her, she’s very inspiring 😀 Hope you enjoy it!
