This book (like the movie) started it all – Favourite debut book from an author
I really enjoyed Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris. It is her debut novel and she has since published The Breakdown. My review.
A diamond in the rough – Just like Cinderella, you either didn’t expect much out of this character in the beginning but they turned out to be a total gem
When I read Will Grayson Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan, I did not initially like Tiny (one of the Will Grayson’s). His character really grew on me and I preferred him to the other Will Grayson.
Sleeping Beauty – a book that makes you sleepy or just could not hold your attention
That would have to be About Grace by Anthony Doer. It is very slow and barely has a plot.
Under the sea – A book with a water/ocean setting
The Ice Twins by S. K. Tremayne is set on an island, so water is a big part of the novel. It is in a pretty creepy setting. My review.
Beauty and the books – Name a book with the best bookworm/book lover
I can think of two but I’ll go with Katy from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. She is a very big book lover and even has a book blog (like me)! Her love for books is quite evident in the first book but then it dwindles a little. My review.
The thief and the princess – Name book with an unlikely love story (either in terms of romance or a book you didn’t expect to love so much)
Well I definitely expected it – because it’s a romance book – but Lucy and Josh from The Hating Game by Sally Thorne have an unlikely love story. They work in the same building and are rivals. My review.
The real life princess – Name a book that is based on a real life person you want to read/have read
I would like to read The Girl With The Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. It is pretty much all fiction, but the girl in the painting was an actual person once! I cannot think of any others so feel free to leave some suggestions.
The princess that saved her country – Name the fiercest heroine you know
Rose from Vampire Academy. She is very fierce.
The princess with the coolest and most diverse crew – Name a diverse book whether it is a diverse set of characters (like Tiana’s group of Naveen, Louis, Ray, and more) or just diverse in general
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas has a diverse set of characters.
Let your longggggg hair down – Name the longest book you’ve ever read
I like to avoid long books because they take forever to read! I checked pretty much all of the biggest books in my bookcase and the longest one is Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. It is 754 pages! I cannot believe the longest book I’ve read is from when I was twelve.
I determine my own fate – A book where there is no love story/interest or isn’t needed
There is not usually any romance in children’s books, so I’ve chosen Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Frozen hearts – A book in a winter/cold setting
It is a winter setting in the novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis.
How far i’ll go – A character that goes on a journey
I haven’t read this book, but Cheryl Strayed from Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed goes on a journey. I have seen the movie, and it is based on something she actually did. She decided to go on a very long hike and learned things about herself that was important for her to learn..
Please have a go at the tag if you would like to!
Thanks for reading,
