In the month of January I read 5 books, which is 1 more than usual!
The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison –
This book was so creepy and strange! I have never read anything like it, but that’s a good thing.
Done Dirt Cheap by Sarah Nicole Lemon –
This was fun to read, and was interesting to read about motocycles. The friendship was sweet too.
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover –
A very sad and touching read! The romance was good and so were the characters.
The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman –
Such a sad read that really made me think about the difference between right and wrong.
The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen –
I found this novel to be too slow and not very interesting. Unfortunately, I stopped reading after about 160 pages and will not be reviewing it.
I really enjoyed reading this month. Last month I predicted that I would read Ugly Love, Maybe Someday and The Butterfly Garden, but did not get around to reading Maybe Someday because I wanted a break before I started reading my next Colleen Hoover book.
During the first two weeks of February I will be overseas in the United States, so I will not be reading as often. I do hope that I will read a bit on the plane (the two flights to get there will be 21 hours). After my holiday, there will be another 1 and a half weeks until I start university again to spend my time reading and blogging.
The books that I hope to read are:
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Ragdoll by Daniel Cole
Hopefully when I am in the United States I will have the chance to buy some more books that I can read.
- Have you read any of these books?
